Job summary

Primoris Renewable Energy seeks an Electrical Engineer specialized in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to develop preliminary designs and support multiple projects through constructible stages.

You will create site layouts, single-line diagrams, and engineering calculations, guiding AutoCAD teams and collaborating with Estimating, Procurement, and Field teams to optimize costs and improve workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in renewable energy field experience.
• 2+ years in utility-scale BESS or Solar PV design.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, PVsyst, SAM, ETAP, CYMCAP, PVSOL (BESS Design) and Python.

Responsibilities

• Develop preliminary design concepts for BESS projects.
• Create and update electrical calculations and site layouts.
• Guide AutoCAD designers in producing single-line diagrams and drawings.
• Support procurement, estimation and project teams with design data.
• Lead design from concept through constructible stages across multiple projects.
• Review interconnection documents and optimize design to reduce costs.
