Job summary

A Specialist Electrical Engineer within Acron Aviation's Surveillance lineup will drive innovation in TCAS and transponder radios, advancing electrical engineering through concept, design, analysis, qualification, and lifecycle management.

You'll work with mechanical, RF, firmware, and software teams to plan, prototype, and test avionics hardware, applying AI-assisted tools to accelerate design exploration and improve verification for safety‑critical aerospace systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Graduate degree with relevant experience in avionics hardware.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical hardware design; aerospace preferred.
  • Experience applying engineering analysis and AI-enabled tools.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize, design, integrate, and qualify digital, analog, and power circuitry for avionics.
  • Develop electrical schematics and support PCB layout activities.
  • Support CAD layout reviews, preferably using Altium-based tools.
  • Generate engineering documentation including HRDs, HDDs, and HCIAs.
  • Provide inputs for certification documentation and PHAC development.
  • Perform electrical design across circuit to system architectures.
  • Use electrical analysis tools for power distribution and related simulations.
  • Apply AI to accelerate circuit design and improve verification.
  • Evaluate new tools and methods to advance hardware development.
  • Travel up to 10% and collaborate with multiple engineering teams.
