Job summary

Mach Industries in Huntington Beach, CA seeks an Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical design, development, and testing of advanced defense systems. You will design boards, PCBs, and interfaces for flight avionics and power distribution.

You will prototype rapidly, validate designs with lab equipment, and collaborate with mechanical, system, and test teams to ensure safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 1 year of full-time work experience or involvement in student competition or design teams.
• Proficiency in electrical design software such as Altium Designer or Cadence.
• Experience designing with high-performance MCUs, high-speed digital, analog, power, and interface ICs.
• Strong understanding of power systems, analog/digital electronics, and circuit design.
• Strong performance in schematic, layout, and stackup design for high-speed signals and power delivery.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD and other defense industry standards (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design electronic circuit boards consisting of MCUs, high-speed interfaces, power distribution, EMI/ESD circuits.
• Design PCB for flight avionics, guidance systems, and power distribution.
• Rapidly construct prototypes and test with lab equipment to verify design integrity.
• Develop and maintain design documentation, CAD drawings, and product specs.
• Ensure designs meet Mach and industry quality standards; collaborate with quality team.
• Coordinate with regulatory team to comply with defense and export controls.
