Job description

Electrical Engineer/Analyst (Electrical)

HRx & Compliance is recruiting an Electrical Engineer/Analyst for INFRA Science & Engineering: https://www.infra-se.com/

The Electrical Engineer/Analyst will work directly alongside major clients as a subject matter expert on power domain projects. Candidates must be able to advise clients on grid analysis and topology, entitlements support, generation sourcing, commercial agreement preparation, renewable energy source review, and technical support for utility purveyor engagements. A Professional Engineer License is preferred, but not required based on previous experience.

A successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical power delivery and a passion for innovation. The candidate must possess strong organizational and communication skills critical to working with diverse teams in a primarily remote work environment. This role involves significant collaboration with client teams and offers considerable latitude for independent judgment and action related to program objectives.

Responsibilities:

  1. Act as an engineering subject matter expert (SME), to support and communicate with project and facility managers to identify issues and develop solutions.
  2. Perform or facilitate transmission planning studies and electric infrastructure design strategies to align with business objectives while maintaining compliance with state and federal policy requirements.
  3. Support client engagement with electric utilities on feasibility studies, power topology design, and interconnection processes for either electric load or generation.
  4. Analyze operational scenarios in a simulated environment to identify potential challenges and opportunities.
  5. Scope power delivery projects, prepare RFPs, develop rough order magnitude cost estimates, support land and permit acquisitions, provide technical support for due diligence evaluations, and otherwise support power engineering, procurement and construction projects.
  6. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to assemble and organize data and analytics to support further development of SAAS tools owned or managed by INFRA.
  7. Support INFRA marketing efforts and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 8+ years of relevant experience. Advanced degrees and Professional Engineering License preferred.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., MS Office, GIS, PowerWorld Simulator, ETAP-G or other Energy Management Systems, PLS-CADD).
  • Ability to read construction documents, including drawings, specifications and RFPs.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Compensation Package: $110,000-$150,000 annually. This estimate includes base compensation, median retirement fund contributions, and employer-paid health and related benefits. The actual total will vary based on individual enrollment choices.

Benefits: Generous benefits package includes:

  • Medical insurance provided for employees and dependents
  • Dental, Vision, and Life insurance available
  • 401(k) retirement plan with 5% match
  • Generous paid time off, holidays, and sick leave
  • Remote work will be considered for well-qualified candidates
