Job summary

DataAnnotation is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to evaluate how frontier AI models handle real electrical and electronics engineering work, applying the judgment you've built over years of hardware design, debugging, and shipping.

You will create challenging problems, run them through AI models, and judge the outputs against your professional standards. You’ll critique model-derived work and document your reasoning to guide future tooling, with flexible remote collaboration.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industry experience in circuit or electronics engineering.
• Background in electrical or electronics engineering.
• Strong command of circuit analysis and design tradeoffs.
• Ability to defend component-level and system-level decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design challenging, realistic engineering problems including circuits, control loops and power stages.
• Run problems through frontier AI models and judge outputs against professional standards.
• Compare model versions on identical prompts and identify strengths and weaknesses.
• Critique model-generated derivations, schematics, and calculations with documented reasoning.
• Flag concrete failures with evidence such as errors, wrong assumptions or unphysical results.
