Figure is an AI robotics company aiming to ship humanoid robots with human-level intelligence, headquartered in San Jose, CA. We seek an Electrical Engineer to join the Actuator Systems team and design the motor control and power electronics hardware for our humanoid robots.

The role encompasses PCB design, validation, and hands-on testing across analog, digital, and power domains, with opportunities to impact core actuator hardware decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of industry experience with PCBAs.
• Strong fundamentals with hands-on hardware design experience.
• Proficient in Altium Designer for schematics and layout.
• Experience with motor controller design (gate drivers, H-bridges, FOC/BLDC).
• Experience across analog, digital, and power domains.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and validate PCBAs for actuator and motor control systems, including motor controllers and power boards.
• Develop conceptual designs and conduct trade studies for actuator hardware decisions.
• Design across analog, digital, and power domains on the same board, managing SI, noise, and thermal.
• Review design artifacts from peers and suppliers.
• Support integration and test activities with hands-on debugging and validation.
