Job summary

SolveNow Inc. in Cary, NC seeks an Electrical Engineer 3 Water/Wastewater to join our technical team for project design and execution in water/wastewater systems.

The role develops electrical designs, one-line diagrams, schematics, and installation details, coordinates with regional/global teams, and conducts energy optimization studies and arc-flash analyses as part of the project delivery. Minimum 3 years in electrical design with ABET-accredited degree; consulting and Water/Wastewater

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 3+ years in electrical design, planning and construction services.
• Consulting and Water/Wastewater experience preferred.
• Power system analysis experience in SKM, ETAP, or other analysis software a plus.
• Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET-accredited program in home country or the country in which the professional is practicing.

• Function in a technical specialist capacity. Under general supervision, performs all aspects of conventional design engineering and analysis.
• Broaden knowledge and skill set in area of discipline. May start to expand knowledge in other disciplines and/or functional areas.
• Develop Electrical design for water/wastewater projects
• Develop a variety of complex engineering deliverables including one-line diagrams, schematics, power and lighting plans, electrical installation details, and technical specifications
• Coordinate with regional and global design teams
• Continuous learning and development of technical expertise/specialty area
• Do project studies Energy Optimization, Power System Coordination and Arc Flash Hazard Analysis, and Electrical Reliability Analysis
• Construction inspection and resolution of electrical construction issues

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program
• 3+ years in electrical design, planning and construction services
• Consulting and Water/Wastewater experience preferred
• Power system analysis experience in SKM, ETAP, or other analysis software a plus

Mininmal Qualifications:

• Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing
• Minimum of 3 years related work experience
