My client is a top notch MEP Consulting Engineering firm who is actively seeking an Electrical Engineer with strong design, engineering and production abilities.

Seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer with experience in high reliability facility design. The ideal candidate will lead the electrical design process for control centers, data centers, utility facilities, and other mission critical environments. This role requires expertise in developing redundant power system designs, conducting field surveys, and producing construction documentation in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop robust and redundant electrical system designs for mission critical facilities (e.g., N+1, 2N configurations).
• Conduct site surveys and assessments of existing buildings' electrical infrastructure, including preparing technical reports and providing recommendations for upgrades.
• Produce detailed construction documents, including plans, specifications, and schedules.
• Coordinate with internal architectural, mechanical, structural, and civil engineering teams to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Collaborate with the in-house electrical design team to guide development and maintain design quality.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE, NERC-CIP, ANSI-TIA), and client requirements.
• Support project management with design review meetings, client presentations, and field coordination during construction.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to continuous improvement of design practices and tools.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in electrical engineering (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical design, with a focus on mission critical or high-reliability facilities preferred.
• Strong understanding of redundancy, UPS, switchgear, generators, and power distribution systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, lighting design and electrical calculations
