Job Summary
We are seeking a Manufacturing Electrical Engineer to support electrical systems at a recycling and aluminum ingot casting facility in Benson, Arizona. This is a plant‑based role focused on core electrical engineering fundamentals rather than automation or IT.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in industrial electrical systems and is comfortable working directly with operations and maintenance teams in a manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day electrical engineering support for a recycling and aluminum ingot casting operation
- Design, evaluate, and maintain plant electrical power distribution systems
- Perform electrical load calculations, equipment sizing, and system evaluations
- Support arc‑flash studies, electrical safety initiatives, and code compliance
- Troubleshoot electrical issues involving motors, drives, furnaces, and casting equipment
- Support maintenance and operations during breakdowns, outages, and equipment startups
- Participate in capital projects related to electrical infrastructure and equipment upgrades
- Develop and maintain electrical documentation, drawings, and standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience
- Experience as an electrical engineer in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment
- Strong understanding of industrial power distribution systems
- Experience with load studies, short‑circuit analysis, and arc‑flash evaluations
- Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, and electrical safety standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in aluminum, steel, recycling, or metals processing
- Exposure to PLCs or industrial controls (not required)
- Experience supporting high‑power or continuous process equipment
