Insight Global is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to support aerospace instrumentation and avionics projects. Translate requirements into analog and digital board designs, select components, perform simulations, capture schematics, layout, and documentation. Ensure system integration and test procedures for production support.
The role requires experience with aerospace boards, DO-254/DO-178C frameworks, and cross-functional collaboration to meet industry guidelines.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related engineering field
Minimum 7 years of board design experience, preferably within aerospace organizations Experience in design and implementation for aerospace applications Familiarity with data and power bus architectures and microprocessor implementation
Understanding the framework behind FAA requirements DO0178C/ DO-254
Looking for Troubleshooting experience: Components within Circuit boards, being able to determine if it’s a hardware issue – root cause analysis Components go obsolete – will need to research for alternates or replacements – obsolescence material
Strong analytical and communication skills for evaluating information and providing customer support
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
PCB layout experience with Altium, PADS, or Allegro [JD_Sr Elec...gr_Updated | Word] Experience supporting production test and troubleshooting in manufacturing environments Familiarity with DO-178C / DO-254 development guidelines Solid analytical skills and ability to interface with cross-functional teams Prior experience in aerospace board design from an aerospace organization
