Job summary

SLB is looking for an Electrical Engineer-Delivery in Sugar Land, TX. You will troubleshoot PWAs and electromechanical systems, review schematics, and maintain design files while ensuring timely project deliveries.

You may lead technicians, train clients, and prepare technical documentation for stakeholders. The role requires 3-6 years of industry experience with BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, strong knowledge of circuit analysis, power electronics, and system design.

Qualifications

  • 3-6 years industry experience with BS/MS in Electrical/Electronics or related engineering
  • Complete courses: 2 semesters of electronic circuit analysis with lab work or electrical system design
  • 1 semester of signal and systems
  • Physics including electromagnetics
  • 2 semesters of engineering mathematics/calculus
  • 1 semester in power electronics, motor control or motor drive electronics design/ robotics engineering

Job description

Electrical Engineer-Delivery

Electrical Engineer is responsible for assisting in providing innovative and cost effective solutions requiring the development or sustaining of new or improved techniques, procedures or products. The Electrical Engineer also assists in planning, conducting and evaluating approaches to meeting the project objectives in a timely fashion.

Roles And Responsibilities
  • Perform hands on troubleshooting of PWAs and electromechanical systems, identify root cause, propose, and validate solution.
  • Review circuit schematics, design files, conduct and/or participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs, and other artifacts.
  • Maintain design and manufacturing files to timely address obsolescence, defects, deviation, and issues.
  • Design test procedures and coordinate with others to perform tests. Conduct tests, document test results, and develop client presentation. May present solutions to clients.
  • May assign, direct and review work of technicians and provide guidance to engineers.
  • Provide training and support to clients and field representatives. Prepare and deliver technical documentation in a timely fashion.
  • Implements and complies with all Sarbanes Oxley requirements as defined in the risk control matrix.
  • Complies with applicable company policies, including Personnel, Quality System and Health, Safety and Environment standards and procedures.
  • Successfully complete required safety training (including but not limited to drugs and alcohol, electrical, emergency response, fire, first aid, health and hygiene, PPE, SIPP, risk reporting, IT security, hazardous materials, driving).
  • Able to perform hands on troubleshooting of PWAs and electromechanical systems, identify root cause, propose, and validate solution.
  • Able to interpret circuit schematics, manufacturing assembly files, specification and design document
Minimum Qualifications And Experience
  • 3-6 year industry experience with BS/MS in Science or Engineering in electrical, electronics or related engineering with the following coursework:
  • Min 2 semesters of electronic circuit analysis with lab work or electrical system design
  • Min 1 semester of signal and systems
  • Physics, covering electromagnetics
  • Min 2 semesters of engineering mathematics and/or calculus
  • Min 1 semester in power electronics, motor control and/or motor drive electronics design and/or robotics engineering
OR 3-6 Year Industry Experience In
  • Analog electronic circuit design, manufacturing and validation
  • Power electronics, motor control and/or motor drive electronics design, manufacturing and validation
  • Experience in three-phase motor simulation, design, and/or manufacturing is preferred but not required.
  • Has knowledge on trouble shooting electrical components
