  • Risk Management: Anticipate and resolve risks in electrical and control design, installation/integration, and commissioning phases to safeguard safety, system reliability, and compliance.
  • Quality Assurance: embed quality into every phase of design and delivery by reviewing contractor submittals, participating in Factory Acceptance Testing, and ensuring installation and commissioning meets specifications and client expectations.
  • Documentation & Standards: maintain and develop VTC’s master electrical and controls specifications, producing accurate, clear design documents, drawings, and calculations that support project delivery and create repeatable best practices.
  • Client Partnership: translate client requirements into effective design solutions while fostering strong relationships built on trust, responsiveness, and technical credibility.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement: research, evaluate, and apply new electrical and controls technologies to improve design efficiency, system reliability, and maintainability.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field; or equivalent experience (3‑5 years in electrical design for baggage handling systems or related industry).
  • Proficiency in high/low voltage design, motor controls, I/O systems (examples: photocells, shaft encoders, push button stations).
  • Familiarity with PLC programming and ladder logic.
