Job summary

Aegis Search Ltd in Herndon, Virginia, seeks an electrical engineer with 2–4 years of commercial experience to own board designs end-to-end. You will design digital and analog boards, prototype rapidly, and iterate based on test data in a high-autonomy environment.

Occasional travel within the US and Europe for testing; eligibility for Secret clearance is required.

Job description

Design it, build it, test it, improve it.

You’ll design digital and mixed signal boards in a rapid prototyping environment – short design cycles, then out to onsite testing, and then back to the office to improve your design and make it smaller, lighter, and more cost efficient.

You’ll be working for a defense start up, working in a new product development team alongside a small team of electrical and mechanical engineers.

This role will suit an engineer who has around two to four years commercial experience, and is looking at working in a high autonomy environment where they can start working on full lifecycle design projects immediately. If you love pulling things apart to see how they work, have a passion for technology , and spent a lot of time at college on Formula SAE, or other techie extra curricular activities – this will be a great match for you.

The role is based on site in Herndon, Virginia, and the base salary is in the region of $120k – $140k, with a bonus and equity on top.

You will need to be eligible for Secret level security clearance to be considered for this role, and you will also need to be happy with occasional travel within the US and Europe for testing.
