Electrical Engineer – Panel Design, Motion Control, VFD Programming

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join a hands-on engineering team supporting a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role involves troubleshooting, electrical design, and programming work.

Essential Functions

• Design and develop electrical panels and control systems (230V, 460V AC & 240V DC)
• Program and troubleshoot VFDs and motion control systems
• Create and maintain schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers and machinists on retrofits and upgrades
• Lead installation and commissioning of electrical equipment and automation systems
• Ensure all work complies with NEC, OSHA, and internal safety standards
• Diagnose and repair equipment and facility electrical issues
• Evaluate and recommend system improvements to reduce downtime
• Develop preventative maintenance schedules and support continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
• Open to both hands-on EEs and EETs with a strong interest in design, calculations, and systems
• Knowledge of 3-phase power, motor controls, and motion control systems
• Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment preferred
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and electrical safety protocols
