Job description

Description:

NSI requires a Junior/Journeyman/Senior Avionics Electrical/Electronic Engineer to support the Navy Consolidated Automated Support System (CASS) Program efforts. In this role, you will provide full-spectrum Software Engineering Support to the CASS Fleet Support Team (FST) within the US Navy Fleet Readiness Center Southeast at Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, Florida. The CASS and electronic CASS (eCASS) Family of Testers (FoT) provides fleet intermediate-level maintenance activities ashore and afloat, testing and troubleshooting over 500 avionics Weapons Replaceable Assemblies and Shop Replaceable Assemblies across multiple Navy and Marine Corps aircraft, saving over $1.1 billion annually.

Essential Job Functions:
  1. Apply electrical engineering knowledge in support of the design, development, T&E, implementation, maintenance, and administration of software systems.
  2. Collaborate, plan, and execute CASS and eCASS development/upgrade efforts, including the development of the Common Development Environment for Test (CDET), a modernized environment for TPS development and execution.
  3. Familiarity with software such as C++, C#, and tools like Visual Studio IDE; understanding of hardware-software interaction, Software Lifecycle Management principles, and familiarity with tools like GitHub, GitLab, TFS, SVN.
  4. Skills with TPS software including ATLAS, L200, and LASAR, and familiarity with the CASS Family of Testers.
Location:

Jacksonville, FL

Education:

Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronic engineering from an accredited college or university.

Experience:

At least 3 years of experience, preferably with some Department of Defense experience.

Allowable Substitutions:

A Master's Degree plus 5 years of experience.

Security Clearance:

Secret
