Job summary

The State Group seeks a Quality Control Manager for a 15–18 month Bowling Green, KY project. You will oversee the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure ISO 9001 alignment while collaborating with leadership to drive continuous improvement.

You will lead audits, manage documentation, and train staff on QMS standards, processes, and best practices to ensure client satisfaction and audit success.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in construction industry quality management and ISO 9001 systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
  • Experience with a Quality Management System (QMS) and documentation
  • Auditing experience (internal and external)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records

Responsibilities

  • Comply with safety requirements and promote a positive safety culture
  • Maintain and oversee the QMS to align with ISO 9001 standards
  • Collaborate with management to develop and execute the QMS strategy
  • Manage ISO 9001 certification processes including audits
  • Develop, implement and continuously improve quality procedures and documentation
  • Track, analyze and report project progress to customers for scheduling accuracy
  • Lead internal and external audits and address nonconformities
  • Train employees on QMS standards and best practices

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Comply with safety requirements and actively promote a positive safety culture
  • Maintain and oversee the Quality Management System QMS ensuring alignment with ISO 9001 standards and business needs
  • Collaborate with management to develop and execute the QMS strategy
  • Manage ISO 9001 certification processes including coordination with external auditors and regulatory bodies
  • Develop implement and continuously improve quality procedures and documentation
  • Track analyze and report project progress to customers to support accurate scheduling forecasting and decision making
  • Ensure all quality system documents are current controlled and compliant with internal and external requirements
  • Lead internal and external audit activities including scheduling execution reporting and follow up on nonconformities
  • Analyze audit results and operational practices to drive process improvements and update quality systems
  • Ensure quality processes meet customer requirements and support successful audit outcomes
  • Introduce and integrate new quality systems tools and procedures as needed
  • Train and educate employees on QMS standards procedures and best practices
  • Manage audit findings database and communicate improvement opportunities to leadership
  • Perform additional quality and compliance related duties as needed
WHAT YOU NEED TO JOIN OUR TEAM
  • 5 years of experience in the construction industry quality management and ISO 9001 systems
  • Bachelors degree college diploma quality certification training or equivalent work experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
  • Experience working within a Quality Management System QMS
  • Auditing experience including internal and external audits
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong self direction
  • Proven ability to develop and implement processes that support business and quality system requirements
  • Experience delivering training or facilitating learning sessions preferred
  • Willingness to work 10 hours a day 6 days a week
