Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer in Lewiston, Idaho to design, prototype, qualify, and release transformers and magnetic components.

SEL's Magnetics Engineering team is expanding its capability to design, prototype, qualify, and release transformers and other magnetic components that uphold our standards for quality, reliability, and performance. As demand for new magnetic components grows, we are accelerating development and qualification efforts to support product innovation and manufacturing readiness. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, and Magnetics Engineering teams to develop new transformer designs, qualification methods, and advanced test solutions.
In this role, you will help define transformer performance requirements, influence design decisions during product development, and improve engineering processes, tools, and test capabilities to increase efficiency and product quality.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Typically 6+ years of experience in at least 2 of the following areas:
Demonstrated ability to mentor others
Strong written, verbal, and technical documentation skills
Ability to learn new technologies and assume new responsibilities
Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
Background check results satisfactory to SEL
Negative drug test result(s)

New hires generally start between $115,300 - $170,400.
Our compensation ranges are based on the responsibilities of the role.
