PAY RANGE: Engineer II - $66,300 - $82,900
Staff Engineer: $90,500 - $113,100
Sr Engineer: $91,600 - $122,100
Lead Engineer: $107,900 - $143,800
Scheduled Work Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Hours can be irregular. Nights, weekends, and extra hours may be required. Travel will be necessary for development of generation projects, including overnight travel.
Evergy is committed to leading the Responsible Portfolio Transition. Our 2024 Triennial IRP plans for 3,600 MW of new wind and solar and 2,445 MW of new conventional assets over ten years. Reporting to the Director of Conventional Generation Projects, the engineer will support the development of conventional generation projects, focusing on electrical systems for steam and combustion turbines. Projects include simple cycle and combined cycle turbines, with opportunities to work on advanced technologies like thermal storage and small modular reactors. These complex, multi-million-dollar projects span multiple disciplines and years.
The engineer will assist with the development, construction, and commissioning of electrical systems for power plants.
