Job summary

H.F. Lenz Engineering, a nationwide building systems engineering and design firm, seeks innovative Electrical Engineers for multiple locations including Johnstown, PA. You will design electrical systems, perform calculations, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team under a Professional Engineer.

Growth toward a PE license is available. Requirements include a B.S. in Electrical/Architectural Engineering with Electrical/Lighting focus, FE/EIT desired, 5+ years of experience, and proficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with Electrical/Lighting focus.
• FE/EIT certification is highly desired.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD/Revit software platforms.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
• Ability to communicate clearly, meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.
• Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical system design using AutoCAD/Revit.
• Assist with lighting, power and signal calculations.
• Document lighting, power, security and telecom systems.
• Support power studies such as Arc Flash using SKM Power Tools.
• Travel to project sites to survey conditions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project team members.
• Interact with clients, vendors and contractors as needed.
• Perform other duties as necessary.

Our multi-disciplinary engineering teams provide mechanical/HVAC, electrical, plumbing/fire protection, civil and structural services. In business for 80 years, H.F. We are seeking innovative and driven Electrical Engineers to join our growing teams in the following locations:

• Johnstown, PA
• Pittsburgh, PA
• Conneaut, OH
• Lancaster, PA

You will be responsible for performing various tasks related to electrical design including, engineering calculations, equipment selections, power distribution, lighting and security systems. You will work under the direction of a Professional Engineer to perform other design related tasks. This role offers growth opportunities as you become responsible for broader aspects of Electrical Engineering and design, while gaining experience towards a PE license.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform electrical system design using AutoCAD/Revit software applications.
• Assist with lighting, power and signal calculations.
• Design and document lighting, power, security and telecom systems.
• Assist with power studies such as Arc Flash studies using SKM Power Tools.
• Travel to project sites to survey existing conditions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project team members.
• Work with clients, vendors and contractors on a limited basis.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Bachelor of Architectural Engineering with a concentration in Electrical/Lighting.
• FE/EIT Certification is highly desired.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD/Revit software platforms.
• Microsoft Office Suite.
• Occasional travel may be required.
• Ability to successfully complete a criminal background check and obtain clearances as necessary.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to meet project deadlines and provide outstanding service to clients.
• Ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple projects.
• Ability to work in and foster a team environment with minimal supervision.
