Job description

What is the position?

The Electrical Engineer will serve as the on‑site electrical representative supporting construction and integration activities for a major compressor station project. This role focuses on field execution, contractor coordination, NEC compliance, issue resolution, and ensuring electrical systems are installed safely and according to project requirements.

What are the responsibilities?

As an Electrical Engineer, you will:

• Support electrical construction activities and verify installations comply with drawings, specifications, and NEC requirements
• Serve as the primary point of contact for electrical field issues, RFIs, and technical questions
• Identify and resolve constructibility concerns to help prevent rework and schedule delays
• Support installation and integration of electrical equipment, power distribution systems, generators, switchgear, MCCs, and related infrastructure
• Assist with temporary power and on‑site generation systems
• Maintain electrical redlines, punch lists, inspection records, and turnover documentation
• Coordinate with contractors, inspectors, vendors, engineering teams, and project leadership throughout construction

What are the requirements?

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Experience supporting electrical construction projects in industrial, energy, or infrastructure environments
• Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Experience with RFIs, field issue resolution, redlines, and turnover documentation
• Familiarity with electrical distribution equipment, generators, switchgear, and MCCs
• Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
• Experience with compressor stations, industrial facilities, or large infrastructure projects preferred
• Experience serving as an owner's field representative preferred
