Job summary

Quest Global in Erie, PA is seeking an engineer to lead modernization of harness engineering and develop digital thread solutions. You will work on shop-floor digitalization, Python scripting, PowerBI dashboards, and data ingestion for Teamcenter, NX, Siemens Capital, and Harnessworks.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or CS, ability to read schematics, and strong communication. Onsite role with light travel, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of electrical circuits and ability to read complex schematics.
  • Experience implementing PowerBI dashboards and Python scripting.
  • Working knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter, NX, Capital, and Harnessworks.
  • Ability to develop CSV import mechanisms for dispatcher reports and ingest into relational DBs.
  • Proficient in English, MS Office, and technical communication.

Responsibilities

  • Lead modernization of harness engineering for future electronic formboards and shop-floor digital methods.
  • Develop integrated digital thread solutions with Python, PowerBI, and data ingestion workflows.
  • Support digitization using photogrammetry and 3D scanning of assets.
  • Assist additive manufacturing for fixtures and test harnesses with 3D printers.

What You Will Do
  • Lead modernization of harness engineering and development for future consumption of electronic formboards and digital methods for shop floor operations.
  • Develop integrated digital thread solutions including Python scripting workflows, PowerBI, dispatcher data ingestion, for digital thread activities in Teamcenter, NX, Siemens Capital, and Harnessworks.
  • Support digitization efforts thru the use of photogrammetry and 3D scanning of physical assets such as formboards
  • Support additive efforts for fixtures and test harnesses thru the use of 3D Printers such as Bambu Labs and Ultimaker.

  • Must understand Quality System Work Instructions
  • Good oral / written communication skill, English proficiency, MS office proficiency
Desired Skills

Work Requirements
  • Onsite: This role is considered an on-site position located in Erie, PA
  • You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
  • Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Travel Requirements
  • Due to the nature of the work, less than 10% of travel is required.
Pay Range

$60,000-$70,000 per year

Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure.
