Job summary

CSEngineering, a Service-Disabled Veteran-owned small business, seeks an Electrical Engineer to support planning, design, construction, and sustainment of electrical systems for a DoD installation in Colorado Springs. The role requires strong electrical engineering expertise and experience with project execution.

The ideal candidate will conduct field surveys, review technical submittals, and coordinate with diverse teams to ensure compliance with codes, safety, and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• At least five (5) years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
• Experience supporting electrical facility, infrastructure, utility, construction, renovation, or real-property projects.
• Knowledge of engineering and construction standards, project documentation, cost estimating, contracting processes, and site inspections.
• Familiarity with architectural, mechanical, and structural disciplines is preferred.
• Location: Colorado Springs, CO 80930.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and support execution of electrical new-construction, renovation, improvement, facility, and utility projects.
• Develop and review electrical calculations, estimates, schedules, drawings, specifications, and statements of work.
• Conduct field surveys, site investigations, design reviews, construction inspections, and technical assessments.
• Review contractor submittals, RFIs, construction schedules, payment requests, and proposed changes for technical compliance.
• Support construction surveillance to help ensure contractor work meets project specifications, codes, safety requirements, and schedule commitments.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, architects, planners, contracting personnel, tenants, and external stakeholders.
• Support project programming, budgeting, cost and schedule tracking, facility-condition assessments, and long-range infrastructure planning.
