Division Overview
Crown’s Beverage Division manufactures a variety of packaging solutions for soft drinks, craft beers, coffees and teas as well as new energy drinks. Crown Beverage leads the industry with innovative technologies that redefine how the world looks at beverage cans.

On Site in the Bradley Illinois facility.
Position Overview
The Electrical Engineer works closely with all aspects of the manufacturing process from raw materials to finished product and supports daily production activities. This managerial position includes the daily supervision of plant electricians and electronic technicians as well as the management of plant construction, modifications, appropriations and equipment installation.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Apply electrical theory to test and modify developmental or operational electrical machinery, electrical control equipment and circuitry.
- Oversee assembly and testing of experimental motor control devices, switch panels, transformers, generator windings, and other electrical equipment and components.
- Diagnose causes of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and perform preventative and corrective action.
- Develop diagrams, drawings and specifications for modifications or expansions and direct personnel performing routine installation and maintenance duties.
- Plan, direct and record periodic testing; recommend or initiate modification or replacement of equipment as needed.
- Direct, coordinate, develop, train, coach and assess employees.
- Support and encourage employees to work safely, efficiently and effectively.
- Perform other job‑related duties as required or assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Approximately 10% overnight travel.
- Must be available to work various shifts, nights, weekends, and overtime.
- Knowledge of control systems and sub‑systems.
- Knowledge of building facilities (compressed air, water, hydraulics, vacuums, heating and cooling).
- Facility power distribution up to 4160 V, three‑phase.
- Instrumentation and calibration knowledge.
- Process control systems – set‑up and program applications (Honeywell).
- Ability to design, modify and plot using AutoCAD software.
- Installation, set‑up and programming of PLCs (Allen‑Bradley).
- Working knowledge of motor controls, VFDs, DC drives, Eddy Current Systems and/or Modicon system design.
- At least three years of proven supervisory experience.
- Five to seven years of experience in a high‑speed manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience plus an Associate’s degree.
Preferred Requirements
- Green or black belt certification in Six Sigma.
- Electrical Journeyman’s certification.
- Packaging industry experience.

- Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Access, etc.).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management and project management skills and ability to multi‑task.

- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
- Associate may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Working Conditions
- Exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicular traffic.
- Exposed to power sources.
- Generally works in a plant environment but some duties in a typical office setting.
- Noise level frequently loud.
- May be exposed to a wide range of temperatures.
Compensation
- $86,761.00 to $137,929.00 per year.
