Job summary

Crown Holdings, Inc. seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician in Cheraw, SC to maintain and repair industrial equipment in a manufacturing setting. You will work with hydraulics, pneumatics, air compressors, and perform welding, machining, and fabrication as needed.

Qualifications include 2–5 years in industrial maintenance, ability to read blueprints, and familiarity with shop tools. OSHA safety and LOTO compliance are required. Join a team focused on safety, reliability, and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• 2-5 years industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Experience aligning machinery and reading blueprints/schematics.
• Familiarity with welding, milling, lathe and other shop equipment.
• Ability to set up, tear down, and rebuild machinery and equipment.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety practices and LOTO procedures.

Responsibilities

• Accurately complete daily work orders and pre-job checklists.
• Maintain and repair various industrial equipment including hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Perform welding, machining, and fabrication as needed.
• Pipefitting and millwrighting throughout the facility.
• Keep work area clean and comply with supervisor requests.

Division Overview

Crown's Beverage Division manufactures a variety of packaging solutions for soft drinks, craft beers, coffees, and teas as well as new energy drinks. Duties And Responsibilities

• Accurately complete daily work orders, Pre-Job Checklists.
• Successfully maintain and repair various Industrial Equipment.
• Maintaining Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Air Compressors, and Air Dryers.
• Ability to perform Welding, Machining, and some fabrication.
• Pipefitting and general Millwrighting throughout the facility.
• Comply with other requests from department manager or supervisors.
• Must maintain clean work area and be able to perform other assigned duties in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-5 years industrial maintenance experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment
• Experience doing alignment of machinery
• Prior experience with milling machines, lathe, welder and other shop equipment
• Ability to set up, tear down, and rebuild machinery and equipment according to blueprints and schematics
• Use of all sizes of air impact and electric wrenches, all pipe fitting tools and equipment
• Excellent written, oral communication and organizational skills
• Good problem solving and analytical skills and ability to prioritize workload
• Experience with OSHA safety practices
• Follows LOTO without fail.
• Works well with others.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.

• Good oral and written communications skills. Good record keeping skills. Good listening skills. Accurate measurement capability. Ability to understand and speak basic English.

Physical Requirements

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• The associate may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions

• Generally, works in a plant environment but will be required to perform some job duties inside a typical office setting.
• While performing the duties of this job, the associate may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicular traffic.
• The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures.
• The noise level is frequently loud.
