THE ROLE

In this role, you will thrive with a variety of electrical engineering project opportunities. The engineer applies electrical engineering design principles to building systems. The project work focuses on interpreting the architectural design of a building and supplying it with necessary power needs, including designing lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, HVAC power supply, and other electrical components.

  • Consults and collaborates with clients to grasp project vision.
  • Interprets the architectural design plans and researches appropriate power systems to fit the scope of the project.
  • Utilizes engineering design software to build power system components such as circuitry, equipment power plans, lighting plans, and fire alarm plans within the building design.
  • Performs project specification writing.
  • Ensures compliance with electrical safety standards and building codes.
  • Works cross-functionally with other engineering disciplines to support project design.
  • Tackles electrical engineering design challenges creatively, resolving complex problems.
  • Partners with the Operations Manager to identify and pursue new business opportunities, driving revenue growth and expanding market presence.

YOUR STRENGTHS
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) licensure or ability to obtain after-hire.
  • 5+ years of US-based experience in electrical engineering system design within architectural and building project disciplines.
  • Demonstrated project leadership, leading complex projects, tasks, and teams.
  • Proficiency in using design software such as REVIT, AGI32, and SKM.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering design principles and calculations within building systems required.
  • Strong communication, both verbal and written.
  • Proven client growth mindset to pursue business opportunities and win new work.
  • A valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record required for occasional travel.
