Job summary

Domtar in Bennettsville, SC seeks an Electrical Engineer to join the Marlboro Paper Mill team. You will partner with production to deliver electrical, power and instrumentation projects, manage planning, scheduling and budgets, and drive reliability across a large-scale manufacturing facility.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • One year of electrical engineering experience preferred.
  • Co-op experience will be considered relevant work experience.
  • Experience with electrical, power and instrumentation systems is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with mill production departments to provide electrical engineering expertise and support.
  • Develop, coordinate, and manage electrical engineering projects throughout the mill.
  • Support capital and maintenance projects from planning through implementation.
  • Manage project planning, prioritization, scheduling, budgeting and execution.
  • Assist with improvements related to electrical, power and instrumentation systems.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, maintenance and engineering teams to improve reliability and efficiency.
  • Support continuous improvement and safe work practices across the facility.

This job is full-time permanent.

Overview:

This position is part of the Engineering Department at the Marlboro Paper Mill in Bennettsville, SC. The Marlboro Mill produces approximately 900 tons of slush pulp/day, 800 tons/day of fine white paper, and approximately 300 tons/day of market pulp. The Engineering Department supports the mill through electrical and mechanical capital projects, maintenance initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts that drive operational excellence across the facility. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer looking to gain hands‑on project experience in a large-scale manufacturing environment while building a long-term career with a stable industry leader.

Your challenges:
