Join to apply for the Electrical Engineer role at DEPCOM Power, Inc.

DEPCOM Power is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their team at the Bedminster, NJ office. This entry-level position involves designing and developing Solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) power plants. You will gain expertise in electrical engineering disciplines such as DC, Medium Voltage (MV), and High Voltage (HV) design, with direct mentorship and hands-on experience.

Note: This position is not eligible for VISA Sponsorship.

DEPCOM is a leader in EPC, O&M, and energy storage services for the U.S. solar industry. We design, build, and operate large-scale solar plants for utility companies and asset owners. As part of Koch Engineered Solutions, we are expanding our capabilities across the energy sector.

Responsibilities

• Create electrical drawing packages for PV and energy storage projects from 30% design through IFC.
• Conduct system loss analyses, grounding studies, arc flash assessments, and ampacity calculations.
• Draft specifications and bills of materials for procurement.
• Utilize AutoCAD for material take-offs.
• Analyze installation architectures, grounding schemes, and equipment.
• Collaborate with project teams and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
• Travel up to 15% to job sites as needed.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Valid driver's license.
• Legal authorization to work permanently in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PV solar, energy storage, or EPC projects.
• Willingness to pursue PE licensure.
• Knowledge of power systems calculations, NEC, NFPA 70E.
