Job summary

TPI Global Solutions is seeking a hands-on Electrical/Electronics Engineer with embedded hardware and wireless connectivity expertise to support next-gen connected devices such as smart-home products, appliances, or other IoT systems.

Candidates may come from hardware, firmware, or software backgrounds, with hands-on experience in Thread and/or Matter technologies. The role is based in Atlanta, GA with consideration for non-local candidates.

Job Title: Electrical Engineer - Connectivity and Embedded Design Focused

Job Location: Atlanta, GA (Open for Non-Local candidate)

Project Duration: 6-18 months with possible extension

Thread and/or Matter experience – at least one required; both strongly preferred

Job Summary

We’re looking for a hands-on Electrical/Electronics Engineer with strong embedded hardware and wireless connectivity experience to support next-generation connected/IoT products such as smart-home devices, household products, appliances, electrical systems, or other embedded connected devices is highly relevant.

Candidates may come from an electrical/electronics hardware, embedded firmware, or software background, provided they have direct hands-on experience with Thread and/or Matter technologies.

Must Have

• Thread and/or Matter experience – at least one required; both strongly preferred
• 6+ years relevant experience; 10+ preferred
• Embedded hardware / PCB, electronic & circuit design
• Microcontroller-based systems
• SPI, I2C, UART, USB, CAN
• Wi-Fi and BLE
• Hardware bring-up, validation, troubleshooting & testing

Preferred – Not Mandatory

• Python / C / C++ / C#
• SiliconExpert / IHS
• Windchill PLM
• FCC / UL / CE / ETSI experience

Experience with smart-home devices, appliances, electrical systems, or other connected/IoT products is highly relevant.
