Job summary

ManpowerGroup partners with an architecture and engineering firm to recruit an Electrical Engineer in the Alexandria, VA area. The on-site role focuses on developing building systems design across diverse projects, offering broad exposure and meaningful responsibility.

You will lead analyses, collaborate with architects, engineers, PMs, and contractors, and mentor junior staff while progressing through challenging design, power, lighting, grounding, and emergency systems.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of experience in Electrical Engineering with a focus on building systems design.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, architectural/electrical engineering, or electrical engineering technology from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Registered Professional Engineer in VA or the ability to obtain through reciprocity within three months of start date.
• Experience in power distribution, lighting and control systems, grounding, lightning protection, and emergency power systems.
• Familiarity with system modeling software such as ETAP, SKM, or AGI, and knowledge of sustainable design practices.

As a Electrical Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting diverse projects across multiple markets. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent collaboration abilities, and a proactive approach to engineering challenges, which will align successfully in the organization.
