Job summary

ABB is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Albuquerque, NM to support planning, design, development, testing, installation, and coordination of electrical/electronic components and systems. You will apply sound engineering judgment and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that enhance customer satisfaction.

This is an onsite role reporting to Engineering Manager I. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with at least two years

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years related experience.
  • Proven project management skills and ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering tasks including analysis, design, development, testing, installation and service.
  • Prepare specifications and related documents per requirements and formats.
  • Review engineering data, documents and reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Consult with engineering groups to ensure criteria meet proposed applications.
  • Plan and coordinate engineering analyses and tests and prepare related reports.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external customers.

Engineering Manager I

Become part of our team as an Electrical Engineer, supporting the planning, design, development, testing, installation, and coordination of electrical and electronic components and systems. Apply engineering principles and sound judgment to solve technical challenges while collaborating with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams. Your Responsibilities:
  • Fostering a professional work environment.
  • Perform various engineering tasks involving such functions as analysis, design, development, test, installation and service, while working from instructions, drawings, proposals, specifications, and other pertinent information.
  • Prepare specifications and related documents in accordance with requirements, established formats and general instructions. Review and analyze a variety of engineering data, documents and reports.
  • Consult with other engineering groups to ensure that specified engineering criteria are suitable for the proposed application, and recommend revisions, as appropriate.
  • Plan, conduct or coordinate relatively straight-forward engineering analyses and tests, and prepare related reports and summaries, for review. Participate in the investigation of technical problems and the establishment of procedures and corrective

Your Background:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments.
  • Minimum of 2 years related experience.

  • Duties require thorough understanding of standard engineering theories, concepts, principles and techniques. Work is subject to general overview to ensure quality.
