Job summary

ABB is seeking an Associate Project Engineer in onsite roles at Mebane, NC. You will support engineering activities across project sizes under supervision, collecting data and assisting in producing engineering designs while ensuring cost efficiency, quality, safety, and cybersecurity alignment.

Responsibilities include handling limited detail tasks, assisting customers on technical issues, aiding meetings communications, and participating in engineering workshops.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering (mechanical or electrical preferred).
• No minimum experience required; 1 year of experience, preferred.
• Skilled in quality and production processes.
• Familiarity in NEMA equipment and Switchboard products, preferred.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
• SAP experience, preferred.
• ePLAN experience, a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and team-oriented mindset with excellent English communication skills; Spanish language ability is a plus.
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Your Role And Responsibilities

In this role as the Associate Project Engineer, you will have the opportunity to support engineering activities in all types of project sizes and complexities, under the supervision of senior engineers. Each day, you will complete the tasks cost‑effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards. You will also showcase your expertise by collecting data and supporting production of the engineering design.
