Job description

Electrical Engineer – Aiken County PSR/LTR Plant

Overview

Salary $125,000–$150,000 per year. Designs, installs, and continuously improves machines and controls to maximize safety, quality, and operating efficiency. Requires strong project management and PLC programming skills. Experience with Allen‑Bradley PLCs, drives, servos, and power distribution is desired. CAD experience not required; engineers ensure drawings are correct and initiate changes. Provides maintenance technical support as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Design, maintain, and improve electrical instruments and equipment.
  • Inspect completed projects to ensure conformance with design standards.
  • Apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects.
  • Utilize software for design and debugging of system hardware.
  • Develop and implement project schedules and workflows.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure system consistency.
  • Create specification and design documents.
  • Understand and ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Analyze electrical engineering problems and formulate effective solutions.
  • Conduct research and studies to support development of new electrical systems and modifications.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in similar role focused on power systems, circuit design, and electrical design.
  • Proficiency in analog and digital electronics.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Exceptional technical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, able to convey technical information effectively.
