Job summary

SEW-EURODRIVE Colombia Ltda is seeking engineering student interns for the Lyman, SC facility. You will work with the Lyman Engineering group on improvement projects supporting technical and shop staff in the assembly plant.

The role requires enrollment in an engineering program and eligibility to work in the US, with tasks including CAD drafting (SolidWorks/AutoCAD), data logging, and documenting projects.

Qualifications

• Must be currently eligible and authorized to work in the United States on an ongoing indefinite basis.
• Ability to follow instructions, written and verbal.
• Must have good SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD knowledge or other software required for the job.
• Ability to organize workload for timely accomplishment of work.
• Ability to log, analyze and interpret data to develop process improvement proposals.

Responsibilities

• Technical communications and the use of Microsoft Office software tools to document/support engineering projects.
• Occasional travel for customer support functions.
• Develop an understanding of SEW products and their applications.
• Operate 3D printers to produce examples of tools/solutions.
• Troubleshooting and problem solving in a production environment.
• CAD drafting (SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD) for special parts design or shop tools and layouts.
