Aerotech, Inc. invites motivated engineering students for a co‑op/internship in our Electrical Engineering R&D group in Pittsburgh. You’ll gain hands‑on experience across board design, embedded firmware, and FPGA activities within a collaborative mentor environment.

You will work with real hardware on servo drives and motion controllers, touching schematic design, PCB layout, VHDL/Verilog, and C/C++ in a fast‑paced setting. This paid internship emphasizes practical engineering experience.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field from an ABET‑accredited program.
• Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or above and be a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior planning graduate studies.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and circuit analysis + hands‑on use of basic test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).
• On‑site work at Aerotech's headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA; paid internship; no relocation housing provided.

Responsibilities

• Test, debug, and evaluate prototype boards and electronic assemblies used in servo drives and motion controllers.
• Work with Altium Designer to modify or design circuits within a larger system.
• Develop and debug embedded C/C++ code on real‑time MCUs or DSPs.
• Work with VHDL/Verilog for FPGA development and run simulations/tests of high‑speed motion control hardware.
