Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. in San Antonio, TX is seeking an Electrical EIT to support MEP design projects. The role involves developing electrical design drawings, one-line diagrams, load analyses, panel schedules, and researching equipment data sheets.

You will collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines, perform calculations, review shop drawings, and ensure ISO compliance and project budgeting. ABET‑accredited degree and EIT certification are preferred; 0–2 years of experience requested.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from ABET‑Accredited Program.
• Proficiency with design software (MicroStation, AutoCAD, Revit).
• Strong MS Word and Excel skills.
• Good communication and technical writing.
• Detail-oriented and well organized.
• Team-oriented with collaborative skills.
• Ability to think critically and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and preparation of construction drawings for MEP projects.
• Perform engineering calculations and interpret drawings.
• Work with multiple disciplines and perform drafting/CADD work.
• Conduct site visits to gather data, measurements, notes, and photos.
• Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Review and approve shop drawings to meet requirements.
• Read and interpret technical documents necessary for job performance.
• Coordinate with practices and sub-consultants for project success.
• Attend bi-weekly meetings to discuss progress and tasks.
• Ensure ISO compliance and budget adherence.
• Complete tasks on time and within scope.
• Achieve or exceed utilization targets.
• Comply with company policies; perform other duties.
• Essential duties are the basic functions.
