Job summary

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of engineering experience.
• ABET-accredited engineering degree.
• Proficiency with design software: MicroStation, AutoCAD, Revit.
• Strong MS Word and Excel skills.
• Good communication and technical writing abilities.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking.
• Internships or prior engineering work preferred.
• Valid driver's license; EIT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and preparation of construction drawings for a variety of MEP projects.
• Perform engineering calculations, interpret drawings and specifications.
• Work with multiple engineering disciplines and perform drafting/CADD work.
• Conduct site visits to gather data, measurements, sketches, notes, and photos.
• Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for review.
• Review and approve shop drawings to meet project requirements.
• Read and interpret technical documents needed for job performance.
• Coordinate with other practices and sub-consultants as required.
• Attend bi-weekly project meetings to discuss progress and tasks.
• Ensure ISO compliance and operate within budget parameters.
• Complete tasks on time and within budget while meeting scope.
• Aim for budgeted individual utilization targets.
