Job summary

Legence is seeking an Electrical EIT at our Minneapolis, MN location to perform routine engineering tasks under mentorship. You will design power, lighting, communications, and life-safety systems, communicate with clients, and collaborate with engineers to advance projects with managerial oversight.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Electrical Engineering, has 2+ years of experience, and is pursuing or has EIT certification with potential for P.E. licensure.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering required.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 2+ years of electrical engineering experience.
• P.E. licensure in progress or pursuit.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to work in a team and with clients.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD and Revit preferred.
• Willingness to work outside normal hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Engineer power, lighting, communications, and life-safety for projects.
• Occasionally visit onsite construction sites.
• Communicate with clients and collaborate with engineers to move projects forward.
• Manage project sections with supervisor approval.
• Maintain schedules and budgets to ensure timely completion.
• Mentor and seek support to ensure design and project completion.
• Other duties as assigned.
