Job summary

HDR is seeking an Electrical EIT/Designer in the New England region to design electrical systems, including normal and emergency power, lighting, fire alarm, grounding, and low-voltage systems. You will develop single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and BIM coordination to support projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with Electrical emphasis.
Desire to pursue growth opportunities and registration as PE.
Strong computer skills using AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI and Easy Power.

Responsibilities

Design electrical systems including normal and emergency power, lighting, fire alarm, grounding, and low-voltage systems.
Plan and design building electrical systems for new construction and renovations.
Prepare electrical designs and create single-line diagrams and panel schedules.
Perform load analysis, voltage drop, short circuit calculations, and equipment sizing.
Produce coordinated construction documents and support BIM coordination.
Assist with energy efficiency evaluations and sustainability concepts.
