Job summary

The Pennsylvania State University is seeking an Electrical (ECAD) Engineering Technologist to join the MEDD team at ARL in State College, PA. The role focuses on creating CAD-based electrical designs, leading documentation, and managing design artifacts within PLM systems.

On-site position with potential hybrid arrangement based on project needs. Requires strong ECAD experience, team leadership, and familiarity with IPC standards. Competitive salary and full Penn State benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree.
• 6+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.
• Preferred: IPC CID and / or CID+ certification, or knowledge of IPC standards.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate electrical (ECAD) design support with R&D Engineers and Specialists.
• Lead creation of schematics, PCBs, circuit card assemblies, BOMs, and docs.
• Use Teamcenter PLM to archive and manage design documentation.
• Facilitate work intake, estimation, and execution; report to senior management.
• Participate in, and sometimes lead, meetings and design reviews.
• Maintain required compliance training related to business systems, safety, and security.
