Job summary

The Pennsylvania State University is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineering Technologist to join ARL's Mechanical - Electrical Design and Drafting Service Center. This role supports PCB design, analysis, manufacturing, and procurement for ARL's research offices.

You will work on schematics, PCB layouts, and documentation; collaborate with a multidisciplinary team; participate in design reviews and contribute to new software tools and processes to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 1+ years of relevant experience for Intermediate Professional track.
• No prior certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Support PCB design and documentation including schematics, PCBs, and BOMs.
• Collaborate with staff on electro-mechanical system concepts.
• Assist with material selection, tolerances, manufacturing support, and cost projections.
• Provide work status updates and present at design reviews.
• Help evolve design methods and templates for new programs.
• Support development of new tools and processes to improve efficiency.
