Job summary

Eversource Energy in Massachusetts is seeking a Distribution Engineer to plan, coordinate and monitor complex overhead and underground electric distribution projects. You will lead design efforts from concept through construction readiness, working with engineering, operations and external stakeholders to ensure safety, compliance and cost-effective solutions.

This role requires strong knowledge of safety codes, pole loading analysis, and proficiency with design tools.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safety regulations and codes (National Electric Safety Code) and design construction standards
• Working knowledge of construction methods and energy delivery power systems
• Ability to learn and utilize information technologies
• Understanding of pole loading analysis and related tools
• Has achieved technical and professional skills/knowledge in job-related areas

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor design activities for Distribution Engineering.
• Design large complex overhead and underground distribution projects including line relocations.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to support projects from concept through permitting and construction readiness.
• Provide technical guidance to ensure safe, compliant, and cost-effective solutions.
• Manage project deliverables including budget, schedule and performance.
