Job summary

Green Mountain Power in Vermont is seeking a Distribution Designer responsible for delivering distribution projects from design through construction, including line extensions and coordination with field staff. Qualifications

Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field required.
Strong communication and customer-service skills.
Knowledge of electrical utility terminology and distribution design principles.
Ability to use distribution design software and general computer skills.

Responsibilities

Design and coordinate distribution and line extensions for overhead and underground projects.
Develop cost estimates and manage project documentation.
Coordinate with customers, contractors and GMP teams to deliver quality service.
Prepare engineering drawings suitable for construction.
Support storm restoration efforts as needed.
Ensure accurate posting to systems and post-project accounting.
