Job summary

Green Mountain Power in Vermont is seeking a Distribution Designer responsible for delivering distribution projects from design through construction, including line extensions and coordination with field staff. Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field required.
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills.
  • Knowledge of electrical utility terminology and distribution design principles.
  • Ability to use distribution design software and general computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design and coordinate distribution and line extensions for overhead and underground projects.
  • Develop cost estimates and manage project documentation.
  • Coordinate with customers, contractors and GMP teams to deliver quality service.
  • Prepare engineering drawings suitable for construction.
  • Support storm restoration efforts as needed.
  • Ensure accurate posting to systems and post-project accounting.
