Job summary
Cuhaci Peterson is seeking an Electrical Designer (I–Senior) to assist planning, designing, coordinating, and documenting electrical building systems for diverse projects in Orlando, FL. You will support the engineering team with construction documents, calculations, and code-compliant solutions.
Progression from I to Sr. Electrical Designer depends on technical competency, project experience, and leadership. Strong BIM, CAD skills, and ability to collaborate with consultants are essential.
Qualifications
- ABET- or non-ABET-accredited degree in engineering technology or science relevant to electrical design.
- 0-2 years (Designer I) to 8+ years (Sr. Designer) of electrical design experience in the A/E industry.
- Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD and familiarity with building codes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare system layouts, plans, details, schedules, and specifications for electrical systems.
- Assist with design of power distribution, lighting, emergency power, grounding, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
- Perform engineering calculations and develop construction documents per codes.
- Coordinate electrical with architectural, structural, mechanical, and other disciplines.
- Support project teams, manage documents, and respond to review comments.
