Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks an Electrical Designer to support the design and delivery of electrical systems for power generation and industrial projects. You will work with electrical leads and multidisciplinary teams from concept through completion, leveraging AutoCAD, Revit/SmartPlant, and NEC knowledge.

The role requires strong communication, collaboration, and time-management skills, with experience in multi-discipline environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent with 5+ years Designer experience.
• Associate's degree with 12+ years progressive drafting and design experience, including 4+ years as Designer.
• High School diploma with 15+ years progressive drafting and design experience, including 7+ years as Designer.
• 5+ years of electrical design experience for power generation facilities, public utility power distribution systems, or similar industrial environments.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD design and drafting.
• Strong MS Office skills.
• Familiarity with NEC and lighting design software.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Assist Electrical Lead in preparing electrical designs for projects.
• Contribute from concept through final project completion.
• Support senior engineers with design coordination and documentation.
• Design and select electrical systems and components, including equipment, layouts, cable sizing, grounding, lighting, and protection.
