IntelliPro seeks an experienced Designer II/Electrical Designer in Richmond, VA to support non-nuclear power generation projects. The role focuses on electrical design, drafting, and construction drawings, with field site involvement and cross-team coordination.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years in power generation industry
• Knowledge of electrical design and drafting principles
• Experience with detailed electrical construction drawings
• Strong software proficiency: MicroStation and AutoCAD
• Familiarity with NEC, IEEE, and NERC codes and standards
• Experience with drawing/document management systems (ProjectWise/Documentum)
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review detailed electrical drawings for power generation projects
• Develop and modify single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, plans, schematics
• Provide electrical design support for equipment, cable, raceway and drawings
• Coordinate site visits and perform field work as required
• Support project management and construction teams with deliverables
• Review peer, vendor, and A&E drawings and provide feedback
• Maintain electrical drawing records per compliance requirements
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve design issues
• Manage multiple assignments with minimal supervision
• Adapt to changing project scope, priorities, and schedules
• Follow safety and compliance requirements
