Job summary

Cohu, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Designer to develop wiring, cable assemblies, and related documentation for complex semiconductor handler systems.

You will draft schematics, BOMs, harness drawings, and support prototype builds with cross‑functional engineering teams. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and at least 3 years of industrial electrical design experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of industrial electrical design experience.
• Experience with industrial wiring and cable assemblies.
• Harness design and connector selection experience.
• Electrical drafting practices and documentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical schematics, cable assemblies, wire harnesses, and related documentation.
• Design wiring solutions for complex industrial equipment following standards.
• Select connectors, terminals, wire types, and protective components.
• Create and maintain BOMs and wire lists in Oracle database with ME team.
• Support prototype builds and production by resolving documentation issues.
• Participate in electrical design reviews and assist cross-functional teams.
