HFA, a 100% employee-owned multidisciplinary firm, seeks an Electrical Designer II to own projects from construction documents to NEC compliance and lighting design. You will collaborate with engineers and design leads to deliver high-quality building systems for commercial projects.

Proficiency in AutoCAD or REVIT is required, with a focus on power and lighting design, energy codes, and client communication.

Qualifications

• Experience developing construction documents and applying NEC standards.
• Knowledge of lighting design principles and power systems.
• Ability to collaborate with architects, engineers, and design leads.
• Strong attention to quality control and project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Develop and draft construction documents for most project types.
• Apply NEC and national standards with guidance from engineers.
• Perform energy code considerations for power and lighting.
• Independently select lighting systems and controls for simple projects.
• Interact with clients as needed and support project management.
• Train junior staff on company standards and drawing practices.
