Job summary

Framatome in Richland, WA is seeking an early-career Electrical Designer. You will perform layout and design from basic data, applying CAD expertise to create 2D/3D drawings and ensuring conformance to NEC, IEEE, NFPA and company standards.

You will collaborate with engineers and technicians to validate designs and updates. Responsibilities include developing electrical drawings, supporting design reviews, and assisting field walkdowns while working independently or in a team, with opportunities

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent education with drafting/CAD coursework.
• Minimum 6 years of related experience in design and drafting.
• Advanced knowledge of CAD workstations for 2D/3D drawings.
• Knowledge of drafting and interpreting design criteria.
• Ensure drawings comply with applicable standards and codes.
• Strong written and verbal communication; teamwork oriented.
• Ability to adapt priorities and work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and revise electrical design drawings, including power distribution and control systems.
• Ensure designs meet NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and project requirements.
• Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback into drawings.
• Support field walkdowns, inspections, or verification tasks as needed.
