Job summary

A technical engineering firm is seeking an experienced Electrical Designer for work in Oak Ridge, TN. Candidates should have strong drafting skills in Bentley MicroStation, experience in low and medium voltage power distribution, and knowledge of relevant regulatory standards (NFPA 70, NFPA 79, and UL508A). Qualifications

• Minimum of six years of related experience or a high school diploma and 13 years of relevant experience.
• Must be able to support construction and operational activities related to design outputs.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE 'Q' security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Drafting one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, lighting/power plans.
• Preparing data sheets, specifications, and walkdown reports.
• Collaborating with electrical engineers and CAD drafters.

Skills

Drafting in Bentley MicroStation

Experience with low and medium voltage power distribution

Familiarity with NFPA 70, NFPA 79, and UL508A

Education

Associates or higher degree in a technical field
