Job summary

Harriman in Auburn, ME is seeking a licensed Electrical Designer to join our collaborative team. You will work under a licensed engineer to learn and perform all aspects of electrical design and apply code requirements to proposed project plans.

You will perform tasks with increasing independence, assist with calculations, equipment selection, and design methods, and collaborate with project staff to ensure successful completion across phases.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience.
• Undergraduate Degree (2 years minimum) in Electrical Engineering.
• Familiar with the basic structure of an engineering project.
• Proficient with the tools required to achieve project completion (Revit, PDF editing, MS Office).
• Able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Capable of utilizing additional software as needed for complex calculations.

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of a licensed engineer to learn and become proficient in all aspects of electrical design.
• Learn tasks and begin to perform work requiring independent judgment, including calculations, equipment selection, and application of code requirements.
• Take on tasks with less instruction and complete small projects independently.
• Complete small projects or portions of larger projects with minimal instruction and review by a licensed engineer.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager, Project Assistant, and licensed engineer to ensure successful project completion.
• Investigate and visit existing structures to determine applicable conditions.
